30 MW GENSET PP AT CEMENT FACTORY, SOKOTO, NIGERIA

Located at Northern Nigeria, Sokoto Cement Factory is one of the largest industrial facilities in the country. Continuous expansions call for increased demand for electrical power. UNATRAC was awarded an EPC contract for a 30 MW Genset power plant project, to provide the necessary power for these expansions. The power plant extended over 3,200 m2 land area and comprised of 1,500 m2 power house, switchgear and control building, as well as a fuel tank farm area and miscellaneous ancillaries. The plant was successfully commissioned and operated by mid-2018. EGYPTROL, as the contractor engineer, carried out all the engineering design works and shop drawings for the plant as well as providing construction supervision for civil works.
